The Efteling Bosrijk or the Efteling Forest Domain, consists of approximately 17 hectares and is adjacent to the Efteling's Attraction Park and Golf Park. The development includes a country house with apartments and a hundred or so homes for a total of 1,000 beds. In addition, a new, large water garden will be constructed at the centre of the Efteling Bosrijk's property. Special building materials with an authentic look and feel will be used for the construction of the accommodation facility. This includes bricks, different types of wood, roof tiles and window and door frames.
As part of the contract, Heijmans Infrastructure will develop all associated above and underground infrastructure, such as hard surfaces, roads, cables and pipes, as well as the parking facility near the entrance. Work has since started. The construction of the accommodation facility will start around May. The first guests are expected to occupy the facility by the end of 2009.
