eGames, rondomedia Commence Construction of Puzzle City for Nintendo DS

Distribution Agreement to Bring Casual Puzzle Arcade Game to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria

LANGHORNE, Pa., May 27, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Casual games developer and publisher eGames, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EGAM) announced today the finalization of a distribution agreement for the company's first Nintendo DS title Puzzle City(tm) with international game publisher rondomedia GmbH. By virtue of the agreement, rondomedia will promote and publish a localized version of the construction-themed casual puzzle game in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

"We have a longstanding relationship with rondomedia on the PC side of our business and are delighted they will be launching our first of several planned DS titles into the German marketplace, where they have a proven track record of success," said eGames VP of Sales and Marketing Rich Siporin. "Furthermore, we are in the process of evaluating distributors for other territories for Puzzle City, including the United States and United Kingdom, and look forward to making those announcements in the near future," said Siporin.

According to Scott Steinberg of Gamezebo.com, "Puzzle City combines the best that construction sims and head-scratching mindbenders have to offer into a single, spectacular outing -- and in a way that's completely original and innovative to boot." Under the watchful eye of real estate maven Mz. Towers, the player will use stylus-based controls to assemble buildings including homes, factories, shopping malls, schools, and fire stations from color-coded construction blocks. With the help of Biff and his construction crew, the player utilizes power-ups to bulldoze unnecessary buildings, break up or detonate construction pieces, and spray paint new colors across multiple stages, including snow-covered mountains, deserts, swamps, and a lunar colony.

"After ten years with eGames in the PC software market, we are proud to be their first international partner for their DS debut. The DS is very successful in the German speaking territories, and Puzzle City is a perfect game concept for the DS target group," said rondomedia CEO Andre Franzmann.

With development underway, eGames plans to launch the Nintendo DS version of Puzzle City in time for the 2008 holiday season. eGames plans to announce a second Nintendo DS title also currently under development in the near future. The PC version of Puzzle City is available now for download online at www.egames.com and other major casual game portals.
