++ Financial report published for the second quarter of 2008
++ Price drop on listed investments leads to a net loss for the period
++ NAV equal to EUR 0.98 per share as of 31 July 2008

Listed investment company Themis Equity Partners GmbH & Co. KGaA recorded a
net loss of EUR 2.6 million during the second quarter of 2008. This was
primarily due to write-downs on listed investments that were made necessary
as a result of price drops in the generally difficult capital market
environment. The Company’s balance sheet showed a solid equity of
EUR 52.7 million as of June 30, 2008 reporting date, which considerably
exceeded the Company’s stock market capitalisation of EUR 36.2 million at
that time. The Company’s equity ratio was 95%. At the end of the second
quarter, Themis had no bank debts and possessed short-term financial
resources of EUR 6.1 million, including receivables and securities.

As part of the Company’s strategic investment alignment toward the
restructuring and reorganisation segment, investments in the buyout and
growth capital funds LBO France, 360  Capital, Nestor 2000 and TDR were
sold at an overall profit, thereby creating more freedom for the new
investments planned.

The Company plans a capital consolidation that will allow it to repurchase
its own shares at prices below NAV, thereby increasing the value of the
Company after the shares have been retired.

Themis’ intrinsic value (NAV) was EUR 0.98 per share as of July 31, 2008,
on the same level as of the previous month. The share price on this date
was at a 34% discount below NAV.
