North Lanarkshire Council boosts performance management with QPR Scorecard
The fourth largest authority in Scotland, the North Lanarkshire Council has
chosen QPR Software Plc's scorecard solution, QPR ScoreCard, for better
performance management. The solution will provide council's service
practitioners, managers, elected members and members of the North Lanarkshire
Partnership a possibility to monitor a range of performance measures set against
strategic and operational initiatives. Based in the heart of Scotland, North
Lanarkshire has a population of around 323,000.
Linda Johnson, Corporate Service Improvement Manager at North Lanarkshire
Council said,
"QPR ScoreCard was selected for its ease of use, clear picture based navigation
and detailed drill-down functionality. It will allow identification of
performance trends using real-time information and greater collaboration with
partners around performance requirements for the single outcome agreement and
community plan. This intuitive solution will be used across all levels of our
organisation".
Maija Erkheikki, Vice President, Channel Sales Europe and Americas at QPR said,
"North Lanarkshire Council undertook an extremely thorough procurement exercise
so we're delighted they chose our solution as the tool to help them support
their performance strategy and meet key targets. We look forward to working with
them and helping in this process. The deal further strengthens our role as
performance management solution provider not just for corporate customers, but
also for public sector."
In addition to North Lanarkshire, more than 20 local government organizations in
UK upgrade their operational performance with QPR solutions. E.g. the Scottish
Argyll and Bute Council, employing a staff of 5,500 decided in February 2008 to
deploy QPR ScoreCard for service improvement. QPR's partner both in North
Lanarkshire and Argyll and Bute Council system delivery is UK IT specialist CACI
Ltd.
Maija Erkheikki continued:
“QPR has a strong position in European Public Government sector. For example in
January 2008, the joint organization for Finnish council's IT-services, KuntaIT,
choose QPR ProcessGuide as the joint tool for service process modeling in
Finnish councils. In June this year, the City of Lódz in Poland decided to
expand their use of QPR solutions as part of their pursuit for an official
