HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - August 12, 2008) - Command Information, the premier provider of
next generation network services, today announced the formation of its
Communications Provider business unit to meet the growing needs of the
carrier, cable, and Internet Service Provider community. Additionally, the
company announced that it has hired Doug Dangremond as Vice President,
Sales and Business Development, to lead the new business.
"The communications marketplace is evolving rapidly and providers face many
challenges in delivering next generation Internet services, including video
on demand, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and always-on mobility,"
said Jerry Edgerton, CEO of Command Information. "Internet Protocol
version 6 (IPv6) and associated next generation infrastructures are key to
enabling these services. Our expertise in IPv6, security, and application
development make us the perfect partner to support their efforts from a
networking perspective. Doug's expertise in this space makes him the clear
choice to lead the development of our business in this exciting customer
segment."
Command Information provides IPv6 and next generation Internet consulting
services offering network assessments; information technology (IT) planning
and migration; training; application development; security; as well as
on-going operational support. Focused on addressing the toughest
operational challenges -- while at the same time lowering costs and
maximizing IT investment -- the new business unit will assist customers in
migrating their network architectures and aligning new capabilities with
network investments.
Prior to joining Command Information, Dangremond was Vice President, Public
Sector for NeuStar, Inc., a provider of clearinghouse and directory
services to the global communications and Internet industry. Before
joining NeuStar, Dangremond spent a number of years with AT&T and its
former subsidiaries, SBC Communications and Ameritech. From 2001-2006,
Dangremond was Vice President, Federal Solutions, responsible for sales and
business development efforts as well as strategic planning and marketing.
"Communication providers face many complex issues regarding IP
communications including the migration to IPv6," said Dangremond. "Command
Information has extensive experience in helping companies plan for this
adoption. I am truly excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and to
be joining such a well-respected organization. Communication providers
will deliver the next generation Internet and my goal is to support their
efforts, as well as accelerate Command Information's growth into this new
market."
