The Big Tent to Be Broadcast Live on Ustream

All Tent Programming to Be Shown on Live Interactive Video Broadcast Platform

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - August 15, 2008) - The Big Tent, the dedicated space for new media journalists and bloggers during the Democratic National Convention, announced today that all of the events and programming held at the Big Tent will be broadcast live on Ustream.TV, www.ustream.tv.

Ustream.TV, a live interactive video broadcast platform, will provide real time, online access to the Big Tent, a first-of-its-kind event for new media journalists and bloggers covering the convention. The Big Tent will feature some of the most influential people in America -- from T. Boone Pickens to Van Jones and numerous other speakers and panelists -- discussing the critical issues of the day.

The Ustream Big Tent broadcast will be embedded on the Big Tent website (www.bigtentdenver.org) and may be picked up by numerous other websites and blogs.

"We built The Big Tent to open doors to the people, issues and topics that will shape not only this election, but the future of our country," said Aaron Nelson of Alliance for Sustainable Colorado, a host of the Big Tent. "And although not everyone can be in Denver for the convention, Ustream.TV will provide admittance to the Big Tent to millions of online viewers from around the world."

The Big Tent will be one of the leading events during the Democratic National Convention, and the only venue focused on providing information and access to new media journalists and bloggers. Big Tent programming will provide a wide range of voices on numerous topics, promoting sustainable and collaborative solutions and celebrating new possibilities for civic engagement that are enabled through the internet and new media. With its interactive broadcast functionality, Ustream allows viewers to interact directly with whoever is broadcasting -- including personalities like their favorite musician or politician. Ustream will also provide access to the Republican National Convention.
