RAID Inc. Accepted Into QLogic HPCtrack Program

RAID and QLogic Will Certify Interoperability With a Variety of Products in the InfiniBand Ecosystem and Collaborate on Optimizing the Performance of Multi-Vendor Solutions

METHUEN, MA--(Marketwire - August 26, 2008) - RAID today announced that it has been accepted into the QLogic® HPCtrack™ program. QLogic is an industry leader in networking for storage, high performance computing and InfiniBand® technology. Through the HPCtrack program, RAID and QLogic will provide faster access to new InfiniBand technology, certify interoperability with a variety of products in the InfiniBand ecosystem and provide a basis for closer collaboration on performance optimization of multi-vendor solutions.

"RAID is honored to provide QLogic InfiniBand solutions to our existing and future customers as we continue to deliver more turnkey products to the high performance computing marketplace," stated Marc DiZoglio, executive vice president of RAID. "We have been working with InfiniBand for many years now and are excited about QLogic's roadmap and the breadth of products that they offer, which is why they were our first selection when looking for an InfiniBand partner. DDR has provided major benefits in improving cluster performance and QDR products will soon be entering the market, which will further enable improvement in overall compute cluster performance."

RAID, who already offers direct connect InfiniBand compute nodes, is currently working on the development of a native interface InfiniBand-based storage system, which is scheduled for release in early 2009. Currently, RAID's flagship product, Xanadu, is fully qualified with all QLogic InfiniBand and Fibre Channel switch offerings.

"Storage is a critical component to a high performance cluster, and with RAID's ability to deliver both storage products and integration services they are a valuable partner to have in the HPCtrack program," said Joe Kimpler, director of business alliances, QLogic Corp. "We also look forward to working with RAID as an HPCtrack partner as they bring their native interface InfiniBand-based storage to market."

RAID intends to better leverage QLogic and other open InfiniBand resources and compatibility for the growing high performance computing market. By being accepted into the QLogic HPCtrack program, RAID can now strengthen product development to ensure compatibility and provide improved support for clients making deployment decisions.
