Peking University Selects Cascade Microtech for RF Measurement Collaboration

BEIJING and BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwire - January 6, 2009) - Cascade Microtech (NASDAQ: CSCD) today announced that Peking University has selected the award-winning Summit™ 11000 Series probe station for their Institute of Microelectronics RF Measurement Lab. The system was selected based on its ability to provide the precision and versatility needed for the advanced semiconductor processes and aggressively scaled devices in development at Peking University. The Summit 11000 Series' unique, patented MicroChamber® chuck enclosure ensures moisture-free, light-tight EMI-protected measurements. In addition, Peking University relies on the industry-standard Infinity Probes and WinCal XE™ software to deliver advanced RF measurement accuracy and productivity through guided system setup, automatic calibration and validation.

The lab will be equipped with high-performance, high-frequency measurement instrumentation, including Cascade Microtech's Summit 11000 Series probe station, Infinity probes, and the new WinCal XE software. As part of the collaborative partnership both organizations will offer application training and workshops. Cascade Microtech has developed a process by which students will learn device characterization, modeling, process development, design de-bug or IC failure analysis.
