U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Selects Social Solutions for Hurricane Relief Efforts
HUD Implements Performance Management Software to Better Manage Disaster Relief Services for Gulf Coast Families

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - January 8, 2009) - Social Solutions, nationally recognized for
empowering human service providers and the organizations that fund them to
strategically tie their efforts to measurable outcomes, today announced a
$1 million contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD). Social Solutions recently began providing its
Efforts-to-Outcomes (ETO) Software as part of the Disaster Housing
Assistance Program for Hurricane Ike. HUD will leverage ETO to help over
90,000 victims affected by hurricanes Ike and Gustav find employment and
establish new homes.

Social Solutions' ETO Software will provide a central platform for nearly
700 social workers in the Disaster Housing Assistance Program for Hurricane
Ike to collaborate and manage their performance. This new technology
platform will help HUD to be more transparent to Congress, FEMA, and the
American public, as well as enable them to respond more quickly to future
disasters.
To better address a family's problems, case managers need to compare family
backgrounds and history with current disaster victim information. Through
its central platform, ETO Software helps these case workers access such
information as well as input the data into the system for use by other
agencies and point of service staff. In addition, the software helps
facilitate HUD in providing progress reports to Congress and FEMA.
HUD's relief program will be in place through March 2010.
