Lysaker, 11 February 2009 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Norwegian net imports for the first time since week 18, 2008 Lower temperatures made for increased power consumption from week 5 to 6. The total Norwegian consumption was 3,127 GWh, up 134 GWh from the week before. The power production decreased, and Norway was net importer in week 6. The price of emission rights was at a record low in week 6. The 2009 contract was priced at NOK/tonn 91 on Friday.
