Munich, 11.0.3.2009 - The supervisory board of PlasmaSelect AG (WKN 547
180) approved the results for fiscal year 2007/2008 ending 30 November 2008
today. During the reporting period, the Group achieved a turnover of EUR
34.0 million and a cumulative EBIT of EUR -38.5 million. The group result
is primarily due to one-off and extraordinary expenditures for
restructuring measures in the Health Care segment and the start-up costs
for the establishment of the new business segment Water Treatment. In
addition, the Executive Board has made an impairment in the amount of EUR
17.6 million on an Earn-Out agreement from the generics sale of EUR 20
million, which was accounted for as derivatives in this amount under IFRS
rules. At the end of the fiscal year, the Group had cash and cash
equivalents of EUR 16.2 million and a credit line of EUR 3.0 million still
availed.

EBIT in the ongoing business segments without the above-mentioned
non-recurring items meets the previous year's level. Despite the adverse
global economic conditions, group sales in the ongoing business segments
saw a decline of only 6.2% to EUR 20.2 million in the fiscal year 2007/08
due to portfolio adjustment. The start-up of the new business segment Water
Treatment resulted in a negative EBIT of EUR 4.2 million in the group
result. Since PlasmaSelect AG has a stake of 30% in Aquaworx AG,  70% of
the negative EBIT or EUR 3.0 million are allocated to other shareholders.
