During 2008 JLT Mobile Computers AB (JLT.ST) took several steps to further strengthen its leadership position in the market for rugged computers. As a continuation of this strategy JLT Mobile Computer AB today announced it has appointed Per Holmberg, currently marketing director at Xilinx, Inc., chief executive officer (CEO) effective July 1, 2009. Jan Olofsson, founder, majority owner and current CEO, assumes the role as senior advisor. Olofsson will head up customer-specific development projects, a strategic and growing segment that leverage the company's unique modular architecture to quickly develop rugged computer solutions that meet customer-specific requirements. The goal with announced changes is to further accelerate the adoption of JLT Mobile Computers' leading products on the global market. Per Holmberg, 45, lives since 1994 in California USA where he currently works at Xilinx Inc, a global high-tech company and leading provider of programmable logic solutions to industries including wired & wireless communications, industrial, defense, and consumer electronics.
