Large US healthcare organization chooses Sectra RIS

ProMedica Health System has selected the IT and medical-technology company
Sectra as their Radiology Information System (RIS) provider. ProMedica is one
of the largest integrated health systems in the United States, spanning 27
counties throughout Ohio and Michigan.

Throughout the agreement, Sectra will supply RIS products and direct service and
support. For several years ProMedica Health System has been using Sectra PACS
(system for handling radiology images). With this order they will now benefit
from the tight RIS/PACS integration delivered by Sectra, which is especially
powerful with customers who have demands to deliver radiology services across
several institutions and/or communicate between several healthcare providers.

ProMedica Health System owns or operates nine hospitals, accredited by the Joint
Commission on Accreditation on Healthcare Organizations. Together these
hospitals have more than 2,900 physicians and 15,000 employees that meet the
needs of more than 2.5 million patients annually.

“ProMedica Health System's decision to replace our legacy RIS with Sectra RIS
was driven by integration and our need to work with a vendor who can respond to
our demanding clinical and technology-driven environments,” says Tom DellaFlora,
Vice President, Information Systems at ProMedica Health System”.

“By extending our relationship with ProMedica Health Systems and adding Sectra
RIS to the existing Sectra PACS clinical environment, we will allow ProMedica to
increase their operational efficiency and continue delivering the exceptional
service expected by their extensive referring clinician and patient
populations,” said Dr. John Goble, President of Sectra in North America.
