Read On to Explore a Different Dimension -- New Escapist Book Will Bring Readers to a World That Crosses Reality and Fantasy

CAMARILLO, Calif., June 4, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- From the condensed collection of life encounters by author Keith Neale Ward comes an exquisite anthology of short stories that cross the boundaries of reality and imagination. Escape time through enduring tales of adventure and be inspired by stories of life and family through the Cactus Flower Short Stories.

Containing three fiction and eighteen non-fiction short stories, five of which are inspirational, and several short poems for escapist reading, The Cactus Flower Short Stories will engross readers of different genres as they delve into tales about family and adventure.

Most of the stories are non-fiction and based on the author's experiences meant to facilitate escapism, as this excerpt demonstrates:

"I was facing down the path on which I had just traveled when suddenly I was hit very hard squarely in the back. I was sure a full-grown man had hit me with his fist as hard as he could. As any male creature would do I leapt out off my seat, turned 180 degrees in mid-air, and came down with my right hand in a fist, my feet firmly planted and my arm cocked to defend myself. I was looking eyeball-to-eyeball with a big, black, ugly bird."

Each prose is a quick read and is sure to bring its reader to an exciting world beyond the here and now. "I have told these stories over and over in the last fifty years. Now it is finally time to share them," says Mr. Ward of his fiction works. For more information, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
