INDIANAPOLIS, June 24, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brightpoint, Inc. (Nasdaq:CELL) announced today that its subsidiary Brightpoint de Guatemala, S.A. ("Brightpoint Guatemala"), which commenced operations in August 2008, has entered into a services agreement with an international network operator in Guatemala and El Salvador. Brightpoint will provide the international network operator's wireless, wireline, and cable businesses with a suite of services from Brightpoint's Supply Chain Solutions line of business including warehousing, programming, kitting, and forward logistics.
In addition, Brightpoint Guatemala has entered into an agreement with Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB to distribute handsets to carriers and retailers in Guatemala and El Salvador.
