MANCHESTER, Conn., June 25, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lydall Affinity, a division of Lydall, Inc. (NYSE:LDL) based in Ossipee, NH, has announced that Bill Hume has recently joined the Company as General Manager, and Bob Sandberg has joined the Company as Director of Sales, Marketing and Service.
Hume reports directly to Dale Barnhart, Lydall, Inc.'s President and Chief Executive Officer. He comes to Lydall with over 25 years of manufacturing, technical, and marketing experience in leadership positions. Most recently he held the position of President, North America for Synventive Molding Solutions, a global supplier for the plastics injection molding industry. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President Operations at Synventive, as well as Vice President Marketing and New Technologies.
He managed manufacturing, marketing and sales activities as Vice President and Business Manager at Dynisco HotRunners when that company was acquired by Synventive. Prior to that, he worked for Kona Corporation in Gloucester, MA where he began his career as an Applications Engineer, moved into sales, product development and finally Manager, Technical Services.
Hume holds an MBA degree from Southern New Hampshire University and a BSME from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.

Sandberg, who reports directly to Bill Hume, General Manager at Lydall Affinity, comes to Lydall with over 15 years of extensive worldwide sales and marketing experience in high technology industries. Most recently he held the position of International Sales Manager for InTEST Corporation, a provider of electrical and mechanical test interface products. There he managed the company's sales representative network in Europe and Asia.
Prior to that, he worked for Delta Design in California where he served as Account Manager to Texas Instruments and Sales Manager for the Philippines. He also served as Vice President of Sales for several years at Aseco Corporation. Before that, he was Aseco's Director of Asian Operations, where he was instrumental in establishing that company's operations in Singapore.
Sandberg holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a BSEE from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
