The company is delighted to announce the official validity of the
resolution approved at the annual shareholders' meeting on 12th May 2009
which authorizes PlasmaSelect AG to be officially named aligna AG since 8th
July 2009.

'The name aligna derives from 'alignment'  which fits perfectly to our new
business model with which we distinguish ourselves from finance investors
respectively private equity organizations since we are not solely holding
our investments for resale assumptions in either case, but rather for our
interest in value-oriented business developments', declares Bernhard
Giessel, CEO of aligna AG.

'Until midyear 2008 PlasmaSelect AG was positioned unidimensional as a
health care organization with its focus on production and sales of
infusion- and irrigation solutions as well as complementary medical
devices. Today, 10 years after its foundation, the 'new' PlasmaSelect AG is
presenting itself in the form of aligna AG as an industry holding company
with an attractive portfolio of investments in the segments healthcare and
new technologies', amends Bernhard Giessel. 'In the former months we have
worked hard to implement the 'realigning', meaning the restructuring and
realignment of the organization, efficiently and determined in order to
outline the opportunity for sustainable profitability.'
