NewMarket Technology, Inc. Expects Record 4th Quarter Operational Income From China to Boost Comprehensive Net Income for the Year on $100 Million in Anticipated Revenue

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - October 5, 2009) - NewMarket Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NWMT) today announced the Company expects to report record 4th quarter operational income from the Company's subsidiary operation in China. Correspondingly, NewMarket expects that increase in operational income to boost the Company's overall comprehensive net income for 2009, as the Company drives towards its forecasted goal of $100 million in revenue for the year. In addition to the Company's ongoing business, NewMarket has publicly announced new sales contracts this year that, in total, exceed $73 million, the majority of which are long-term contracts in line with the Company's focus on shifting its revenue base from short-term, project-based contracts to long-term managed services contracts. One such contract announced earlier this year worth $30 million was signed through the Company's Chinese subsidiary and went into service last quarter. That contract is expected to help increase the operational income of the Chinese operation. The Company's Chinese operation is a systems integrator and is a VAR in the Chinese domestic market. NewMarket has operations in China, Southeast Asia, Latin America and North America and reported over $95 million in revenue for 2008.
