StockerYale Introduces LED-Based Linescan Illumination System at Vision 2009

Expands Product Line Offering to Machine Vision Inspection Market


SALEM, N.H., Oct. 29, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StockerYale, Inc. (OTCBB:STKR), a leading designer and manufacturer of diode-based laser modules and LED systems for industrial OEMs, medical and defense markets, will unveil a new LED Line Light product range called LOTUS at the Vision 2009 show in Stuttgart, Germany, November 2-5, 2009, at Booth # 4C13.

Produced at the Company's new Cork, Ireland R&D and manufacturing facility, the LOTUS LED product line provides an alternative solution to fluorescent illumination used in a wide variety of machine vision applications. The LOTUS has a unique design which utilizes the latest LED technology combined with an integrated optical system to produce high performance line lights. The flexible design makes the LOTUS compatible with both back-lighting and front-lighting web applications, providing a broad and uniform beam which is consistent across webs as wide as 5 meters.
