AMG: Telecommunications Act as of 1 October 2009

Dear contact person,

As a valued business contact of AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. ("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") you regularly receive press releases containing financial or non-financial information. These are sent out by Hugin in Amsterdam, on behalf of AMG.

Under the terms of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, the sending of unsolicited electronic messages in or from The Netherlands is no longer permitted, unless the recipient him/herself has given explicit permission. This relates to unsolicited communications by for example E-mail.

Unsolicited E-mail to natural persons was already prohibited. As from 1 October 2009, however, neither commercial, non-commercial nor charitable communications may be sent to companies without the explicit and demonstrable permission of the recipient.

In the past you may have let Hugin or AMG know that you have a specific interest in receiving our press releases. By means of this message we are kindly requesting you to explicitly indicate once again that you wish to continue to receive these press releases in the future. If this is not the case, please take this opportunity to let us know, and you will then no longer receive such communications from AMG.

Yours sincerely,

AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V.
