Connecticut Water Receives Boston Club Award


CLINTON, Conn., Dec. 3, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTWS) is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the Boston Club for its diversity achievements on its Board of Directors. Connecticut Water is one of 52 New England public companies recognized as a Corporate Salute Honoree for having three or more women on its board of directors. The Boston Club is an organization of nearly 600 high-achieving senior executive and professional women whose mission is to promote the professional advancement of women and increase their participation on corporate and non-profit boards.

Connecticut Water has four women serving on its nine-member board of directors, including: Mary Ann Hanley, an attorney, assistant to the president of St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center and the Governor's policy advisor for workforce development; Heather Hunt, an attorney and the executive director of the New England States' Committee on Electricity; Lisa Thibdaue, vice president Regulatory and Government Affairs at Northeast Utilities; and Carol P. Wallace, president and CEO of Cooper-Atkins Corporation.
