LTX-Credence Announces New Multi-Channel VI Instrument for the ASL Test System

XVI Significantly Enhances Multi-Site Test Capabilities of the ASL

MILPITAS, Calif., Jan. 5, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LTX-Credence Corporation (Nasdaq:LTXC), a provider of innovative semiconductor ATE solutions, today announced a new multi-channel, VI instrument for the ASL test system. The XVI greatly enhances multi-site capability for the ASL1000 and ASL 3000 test systems with 14 channels per board. The XVI provides extended power ranges, enhanced source and measure accuracy, and per-pin digitizer capability. All of these features will provide users with up to 40% faster test times compared to existing ASL VI instrumentation. The XVI can be purchased as an upgrade for the over 3,000 ASL testers in the field. Multiple domestic and Asian based customers have purchased the XVI and are already using it in volume production applications.

"The launch of the XVI represents the third recent product launch by the Company. We launched IMA for Diamond, the DCTM for the X-Series and now the XVI for ASL. Our continued investment in ASL, Diamond and X-Series demonstrate our commitment to these product lines that are strategic to our Company's future growth. The ASL has long been the de facto standard for low complexity analog devices such as battery and power management, voltage regulators and standard linear devices. The XVI extends ASL's strong position in the marketplace with increased channel density and high accuracy capability leading to improved throughput and device yields," said Steve Wigley, vice president of marketing at LTX-Credence.
