WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Jan. 7, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Charter Medical, Ltd., a subsidiary of Lydall, Inc. (NYSE:LDL), today announced that Joe Petrosky has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President - Global Sales and Marketing of Charter Medical. In this role, Joe will be focused on driving growth and product innovation in Charter's life sciences markets. Joe will be based at Charter's Headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC.

Joe began his career with Lydall's Filtration/Separation business in April 1999 as an Account Manager. Shortly after that Joe was promoted to Market & Sales Manager for the Liquid Filtration business and held a number of other roles until his most recent position as Director of North American Sales for Lydall's Performance Materials business.
Joe received his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Northeastern University. Joe came to Lydall from Millipore's Bioprocess division where he worked for eight years in the positions of Applications Specialist and Technical Supervisor.
