Becker & Poliakoff Elects Two New Management Committee Members
Yolanda Cash Jackson and Rosa M. de la Camara Are First Female Partners to Serve on Seven Member Committee

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - February 9, 2010) - Becker & Poliakoff, P.A., a diversified
commercial law firm with more than 130 attorneys in 13 Florida offices, New
York City, New Jersey, Nassau (Bahamas) and Prague, today announced that
the firm's shareholders elected shareholders Yolanda Cash Jackson and
Rosa M. de la Camara to the Management Committee, which determines
the strategic direction and oversees management and operations of the firm.
Ms. Jackson, an experienced Government Law attorney and lobbyist, and Ms.
de La Camara, who concentrates her practice in Community Association Law,
are the first women ever elected to the seven-member committee. The
appointments were effective January 20, 2010.

leadership in the firm including serving as Chairs of the firm's diversity
and women's initiatives," said Alan Becker, managing partner. "Their
selection recognizes the significant contribution of both attorneys to the
firm's growth and development and their deep involvement in firm-wide

Ms. Jackson, who joined the firm in 1999, heads the Tallahassee lobbying
practice with a proficiency in state government funding and appropriations.
She has established a strong reputation for involvement in civic,
charitable and professional organizations and currently is an active member
of the Orange Bowl Committee, The Carrie Meek Foundation, the Greater Miami
Chapter of the Links, Inc. and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. de la Camara, who works with the firm's large community association
client base, has immersed herself in the many complex issues facing Boards
of Directors, unit owners, managers and state and local policymakers. In
2008, she was appointed by the Speaker of the Florida House of
Representatives to the Florida Community Association Living Council whose
role is to receive public input regarding issues of concern with respect to
community living and make recommendations for legislative changes to the
Florida Legislature.
Ms. de la Camara also was a member of the Florida Advisory Council on
Condominiums, the liaison between the public and the Division of Florida
Land Sales and Condominiums.
Ms. Jackson received her BS and JD degrees from the University of Florida
and is a member of the School's College of Law Board of Trustees. Ms. de la
Camara, a graduate of Florida International University, earned her JD
degree from the University of Miami, joining Becker & Poliakoff in 1987.
