Finnair Technical Services concluded a maintenance agreement with a Swedish charter airline TUIfly Nordic. The long term agreement includes C-checks for TUIfly Nordic's B757 aircraft and the daily line maintenance in Helsinki for customer's B757 and B767 fleet. TUIfly Nordic operates daily from Helsinki Airport. The cooperation with TUIfly Nordic has taken place since 2006. "We appreciate the strengthening and expansion of the cooperation with TUIfly Nordic. This agreement also strengthens Finnair Technical Services position on providing B757 heavy maintenance services on the world wide maintenance markets and sets up new competition on line maintenance services for third party customers. This agreement also introduces the B767 as a new aircraft type for Finnair Technical Services," says Sales Manager Arne Ziessler from Finnair Technical Services. TUIfly Nordic, founded in 2006, is owned by TUI Nordic. The Group also include tour operators Finnmatkat, Fritidsresor and Star Tour. TUIfly Nordic operates charter traffic to destinations in America, Caribbean, Africa and Asia. TUIfly Nordic's fleet consists of six aircraft, in which two are B757 and one B767. The fleet is complemented during high seasons with additional leased aircraft. Finnair Technical Services' annual turnover is over €200 million, including the Finnair group and third party customers.
