Adept Technology Participates in Federal Stimulus Program

Adept Joins American Family Recovery Project to Support Local Community

PLEASANTON, Calif., April 28, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adept Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADEP), a leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, today announced it is the first company to actively participate in the American Family Recovery Project, a project of the Tri-Valley Community Foundation serving the residents of the Alameda County cities of Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, and the town of Sunol. Actively participating in the program has enabled Adept to fill their growing demand for personnel and at the same time support the local community and job growth.

"The American Family Recovery Project's objective is to get family wage earners whose ability to support their family has been affected by the loss of a job back to work which is exactly what the ARRA was drafted to accomplish," said John Dulchinos, president and CEO of Adept Technology, Inc. "We are proud to be the first employer in the Tri-Valley to engage this new program that directly supports our community."

Adept has recently filled engineering and design positions in its Pleasanton office through the American Family Recovery Project. The project is supported by federal stimulus funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and by the generosity of individuals and businesses who contributed to the 2009 Pleasanton Weekly Holiday Fund. More information on the project can be found on their website at http://amfamproject.tvcfoundation.org/.
