LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2010) -
WHO: Get On The Bus: Children with a mother in prison will be united for a Mother's Day visit.
WHAT: More than 700 children from greater Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, Stockton, Modesto, Santa Rosa, San Francisco, San Bernardino, Riverside and other cities throughout the state will travel by bus and by plane for a special visit with their moms at three state prisons for Mother's Day at the Annual Get On The Bus event. This annual event is funded by donations from churches, schools, family foundations, grants and other organizations. For many children, this will be the only time during the year that they will be able to visit their mother.
WHEN: Friday, May 7, 2010
Bus arrival at prisons between 8:00 and 10:00 A.M. in Corona and Chowchilla.
