U.S. Air Force Awards Integral Systems $14.2 Million CCS-C Contract Modification

Integral Systems Provides USAF SMC With Commercial Off-the-Shelf Satellite Telemetry and Command Processing Solution for Management of MILSATCOM Satellite Constellations

COLUMBIA, Md., July 7, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced today that the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) has awarded the Company a $14.2M contract modification to its Command and Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C) contract. Under the terms of the contract modification, Integral Systems will continue to provide the USAF and SMC with its EPOCH Integrated Product Suite (IPS) to simplify operations through the consolidation of satellite ground systems.

The CCS-C contract, first awarded in early 2002, enables a unified Command and Control (C2) capability for the 50th Space Wing's complete family of MILSATCOM satellite programs. Through the use of standards-based systems and an open architecture approach, the 50th Space Wing efficiently and cost-effectively supports future satellite platforms and programs.

"We are pleased to continue this successful partnership with both the MILSATCOM CCS-C program and the 50th Space Wing," said Paul Casner, Chief Executive Officer of Integral Systems. "The successful, on-time transition of legacy and future MILSATCOM satellites to CCS-C, including DSCS, Milstar, WGS, and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellites, in conjunction with the ground breaking operational efficiencies gained, are a testament to the ongoing success of CCS-C and representative of an exceptional Air Force and Integral Systems partnership."

The contract modification provides extension of the AEHF development contract. The extension is to provide contract coverage to account for launches of AEHF SVs 1-3 through 2012.

Integral Systems employs approximately 130 people dedicated to the CCS-C program and operates two software development laboratories in Maryland and Colorado.

ABOUT COMMAND AND CONTROL SYSTEM - CONSOLIDATED (CCS-C)

CCS-C is currently configured to support MILSATCOM satellites across four systems: Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS); Milstar; Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS); and the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) system. CCS-C consists of high specification, commercially available computer servers and workstations running commercially available TT&C software packages on a local area network-based client/server architecture.

CCS-C products are operational at the Air Education and Training Command, 533rd Training Squadron at Vandenberg AFB; the 14th Air Force, 50th Space Wing, 3rd and 4th Space Operations Squadrons at Schriever AFB, CO.
