TALX Assessment Division, pan, Adds IPAT Assessments to Test Catalog

Revolutionary 16PF(R) Questionnaire Plus Two Others Enhance Ability to Hire "Best Fit" Candidates

ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - August 11, 2010) -  TALX Assessment Division, pan (Performance Assessment Network), a leader in online assessment and talent management systems, has added three IPAT assessments to its growing test catalog, including IPAT's flagship 16PF® Questionnaire, a well-documented and extensively-researched instrument for measuring the 16 normal personality dimensions.

The new assessments, which also include IPAT's Emotional Judgment Inventory (EJI) and Personnel Reaction Blank (PRB), will give companies enhanced insights about prospective employees to improve the hiring process. The addition of the psychometrically-sound IPAT assessments to pan's testing catalog further diversifies the more than 250 ready-to-use assessment tools and evaluations already available to pan customers.

"The 16PF Questionnaire has been used worldwide for more than 60 years. This well-respected and widely used measure of adult personality is now available through our world-class suite of online assessments. We are very excited to offer our customers the 16PF, EJI and PRB tests to assist them in evaluating both prospective and current employees," stated Doug Cole, pan's Senior Vice President and General Manager.

"With their robust assessment catalog, pan is in a unique position to serve the diverse assessment needs of corporate and government organizations," added Susan Korin, IPAT President, North America. "We are pleased to add three of our assessments to the pan roster, and are confident that our tests will help guide pan's clients toward more informed people decisions."

As a valid predictor of job performance, the 16PF assessment helps reduce bad hires and placements and their associated costs. A comprehensive measure of normal adult personality, the 16PF Questionnaire is composed of 185 multiple choice items and takes approximately 40 minutes to complete. Suitable for both selection and development, the assessment is normed on a stratified random sample of more than 10,000 adults based upon the 2000 U.S. Census.

The EJI and PRB assessments provide companies with tools to predict candidate emotional intelligence and integrity. The EJI can improve the selection process by measuring an applicant's ability to appraise, manage and effectively use emotional information. It is also useful in professional development and placement applications as a tool to increase self-awareness. The PRB assesses a prospective employee's integrity and is a valid predictor of whether an individual will exhibit dependable and reliable workplace behavior or counterproductive behavior. It is used in settings where dependability, conscientiousness, diligence, and restraint are desirable qualities in an organization's employees. These brief assessments, as well as the more in-depth 16PF Questionnaire, combine to give companies a more complete picture of an applicant.
