Rodney Strong Launches New Website and Introduces Sonoma Recipe Exchange

New Website Features Enhanced Functionality and Interactivity

SonomaRecipeExchange.com is a Place for People Passionate About Food & Wine

HEALDSBURG, Calif., Sept. 1, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rodney Strong Vineyards just increased their stake in today's world of digital connectivity. In a sign of times, along with active and on-going Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts, the winery enhanced their presence with a functionally and visually redesigned website and a recipe exchange blog, www.SonomaRecipeExchange.com.

Website guests can now quickly find nearby retailers where Rodney Strong wines are sold, watch fun, irreverent or educational videos created by the winery as well as easily navigate from their homepage to their various other locations, such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, SonomaRecipeExchange.com and their green micro-site, www.rodneystrong.com/green.

"It is very straight forward conceptually to connect with people where they choose to engage, but it's a complex channel of communication," says Dan Wildermuth, Rodney Strong's VP of marketing. "Our website enhancements provide us with a hub for all things Rodney Strong while we stretch from there to other sites where we actively converse within small timeframes and in real time."

The winery's www.SonomaRecipeExchange.com, their first blog site, is set up to share recipes, but it's more about a sense of commonplace where people can connect with others that are passionate about food and wine, with a particular emphasis on Sonoma County, if not the place specifically, then certainly its style. Wildermuth continues, "As a very involved member of Sonoma County's community, Rodney Strong feels a sense of pride about sharing what's dear to us with others who we believe to be like-minded. It opens another door, creates a platform, for folks to gather and live or relive Sonoma County."

www.SonomaRecipeExchange.com hosts a regular recipe contest where winners and their recipes are featured on the site and in Rodney Strong's monthly e-magazine. If you love Sonoma County and the wondrous food and wine that comes from the region, this new site is specifically geared toward you. The site showcases the region's chefs, restaurants, farmers and winegrowers while allowing participation by anyone.
