On 7 October 2010, AS Maardu Vesi and the consortium of AS Merko Ehitus / AS Merko Infra concluded a contract of services, for the construction of the Maardu city water project Muuga housing area water- and sewer pipelines and facilities. Price of the contract is EEK 207.68 million (without customers 7% reserve and without VAT). Completion time for the works is set on autumn 2012. According to the contract, 32 km water pipelines, 76 km sewage pipelines and 15 sewage pumping stations will be built. With the project it is made possible to join the sewage network for 2880 properties and with the water network for 940 properties.
