No. 27 Solar A/S is satisfied with the implementation of Solar 8000 in Solar Norge AS

In announcement no. 24 dated 13 September 2010, Solar A/S stated that the
business concept Solar 8000 had been implemented in Solar Norge AS. The first
phase included implementation of an SAP IT platform in combination with our
existing e-business and warehouse management systems. 

Overall, the implementation proceeded to our satisfaction. As expected, such a
great change could not be completed without challenges in spite of extensive
and focused preliminary efforts from the employees. 

During the first weeks, the new working procedures entailed slightly slower
service - seen from our customers' and suppliers' perspectives - just like
there have been initial challenges within handling of special sales processes. 
 
The most significant problems have been eliminated, and the few remaining
problems will be eliminated shortly. The effect of the challenges is that,
during a short period, there will be a need to perform stabilisation of the
processes and a necessary clean-up, to both of which dedicated resources have
been set aside. Solar is grateful for the great understanding and kindness
shown by the affected customers and suppliers. 

Background information
Solar Norge is the first subsidiary in the group to implement the Solar 8000
concept. A concept with the purpose of making the group's business processes
more efficient and creating an even better connection and overview among the
subsidiaries and corporate headquarters. The concept will be rolled-out
gradually in the entire organisation. The next subsidiary to implement Solar
8000 is Solar Nederland B.V. 

Solar 8000 includes the establishment of 
• group standardised business processes supported by the IT system SAP
• the same IT platform in all enterprises
• one frame of reference within management
• harmonised data and common group databases
