Forensic Accounting Specialist Joins Marks Paneth & Shron LLP's Litigation and Corporate Financial Advisory Services Group

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 19, 2011) - New York-area accounting firm Marks Paneth & Shron LLP (MP&S) announced today that Yasmine L. Misuraca, CPA, CFE, 40, a specialist in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, securities litigation support and economic damage analysis has joined the firm as a director in the Litigation and Corporate Financial Advisory Services Group.

Ms. Misuraca also brings an in-depth knowledge of both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to her position. She will be based in the firm's headquarters in Manhattan.

Ms. Misuraca was most recently a director in litigation consulting at RSM McGladrey Inc. Prior to joining that firm in 2000, she was an accounting manager at Dentsu USA, Inc. She has also held audit positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Inc. and KPMG Peat Marwick. As a litigation consultant, Ms. Misuraca has worked with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) on major cases and served major law firms and corporate counsel by providing guidance to testifying experts.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Baruch College and is a resident of Manhattan.
