Mochi Media Announces Special One-Day Flash Gaming Summit in July at Casual Connect: Seattle

Adobe, Radial Games and FlashGameLicense.com Among Speakers at New Summit

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 2, 2011) - Today, Mochi Media announced that it has partnered with the Casual Games Association to bring a one-day conference focused on Flash game development to this year's Casual Connect on July 18, 2011 in Seattle, WA. Inspired by the sold-out Flash Gaming Summit 2011 conference in San Francisco, this new summit will bring together leaders in the Flash game space to share industry insights and strategies on successful game design, development and monetization.

"Over the last three years, we've had incredible success with the Flash Gaming Summit in San Francisco," said Jameson Hsu, CEO of Mochi Media. "After organizing three sold-out events, it's great to be able to work with the Casual Games Association to bring FGS to this year's Casual Connect. Every year Casual Connect events fuel rich, valuable conversations within the industry, and so we're looking forward to contributing with the addition of a summit that is focused specifically on the Flash games industry."

Like the successful Flash Gaming Summits held annually in San Francisco, this one-day primer will include sessions with leaders in the Flash game industry who will discuss game development and the business of making games. Lee Brimelow, platform evangelist at Adobe Systems, will begin the day with a look ahead at what's next for Flash. Andy Moore, captain of Radial Games, will then share some of his valuable insights on game design, followed by the co-founders of Kixeye who will address how best to make games for the Facebook platform.

Audience members will also hear about game sponsorships and how they are evolving apace with the larger Flash games industry. This discussion will be led by Justin Wong, general manager of Mochi Media's Game Developer Fund, Greg McClanahan, director of games at Kongregate, Simon Lachance, co-founder of Berzerk Studios and Chris Hughes, co-founder of FlashGameLicense.com. To close the day, Chris Benjaminsen of Player.IO will share with attendees his personal experience in making a successful Flash game.
