Gaming Laboratories International's GLI University(TM) Hosts a Record Number of Regulators for Its "2011 European Regulators Roundtable"

HILLEGOM, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - Jun 3, 2011) - This spring, Gaming Laboratories International's GLI University™ has been drawing record crowds for its Regulators Roundtables, the latest coming with its recently completed "2011 European Regulators Roundtable." Held 17-19 May in Budapest, Hungary, the event drew more than 40 regulators from 21 countries.

Many jurisdictions attended the Roundtable for the first time in its seven-year history, including Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Poland and Romania. Additionally, two gaming associations that work closely with regulators -- Jatka from Serbia and the Bulgarian Gaming Association -- attended for the first time.

"Moving the event to Budapest from our lab location in Hillegom, The Netherlands, served us and our attendees well," said GLI Europe Managing Director Phillip Barow. "Locating the event in Eastern Europe allowed many more Eastern European jurisdictions to attend than had previously. The strong positive feedback and success of this year's event has convinced us to return to Budapest next year. All in all, the event was a smashing success."

The 2011 European Roundtable, titled "Find Your Seat, Find Your Future," brought regulators from across Europe to discuss two critically important areas: iGaming and land-based gaming. The invitation-only event was the premier forum this spring for regulators to gather information on new technology and policy approaches to regulate the implementation of that technology and to network amongst peers in a very private event.

Day one focused on iGaming topics ranging from the future of gaming in the keynote address by GLI President/CEO James Maida to panel discussions on both policy and technical issues where iGaming regulators, software developers, certification labs and operators presented compelling viewpoints on key issues in iGaming. Panel discussions included topics such as: "Regulator Presentations and Panel on Licensing and Regulation of iGaming Markets," "Supplier Perspectives on Regulation in iGaming Markets," "Internet Gaming Technology - Data Security and Certification," "Testing and Certification Process - The Nuts and Bolts of Product and Software Certification" and "Operator's Perspectives on Regulation in iGaming Markets."

Day two was dedicated to providing education on the latest in land-based policy and technology. The event opened with a presentation on the "Greek Gaming Legislation - VLTs and iGaming." The audience was then treated to discussions on "Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) in European Markets - The Facts on the Technology," "The Technologies Driving Server-Based Gaming" and concluded with a special presentation on "Legal Climate of iGaming in the United States."

GLI's Roundtable is a one-of-a-kind event in the gaming industry, where regulators gather to learn about the latest technological developments and their potential regulatory impact and to openly discuss regulations with one another in a private setting.
