Barona Resort & Casino Celebrates Philippine Independence Day With Traditional Dancing, Food and Cash Giveaways

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 9, 2011) - On Sunday, June 12, Barona Resort & Casino will be celebrating Philippine Independence Day with $25,000 in cash giveaways.

Exciting Power Giveaways will be held from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. giving Club Barona members the chance to win $500 every 10 minutes. Four winners will be drawn at 9 p.m. to play a surprise game for a shot at winning $3,000.

The festivities will continue throughout the night with traditional Philippine dancing beginning at 5 p.m. Following each of the three dances, five audience members will be selected to participate in a "Hep Hep Hooray" elimination dance game for a chance at 60 seconds each in the Money Machine.

Barona will also offer a Filipino-inspired menu at Ho-Wan, the casino's authentic Asian noodle shop, from June 6 to June 12. Menu options include Chicken Adobo, Filipino Style Spaghetti, Pansit Canton and Filipino Chicken Curry. All entrees will be served with Crispy Lumpia and Tinola Manok Soup.
