SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 14, 2011) - Red Hawk Casino's poker room is getting luckier every day. The casino awarded another Bad Beat Jackpot to six lucky poker room guests on Monday, June 13, 2011. The table shared a $25,034 payout.
Romeo B. from Sugar Land, Texas, had four nines and thought he had a winning hand, but Brian C. from Placerville, Calif., drew a jack-high straight flush and beat him. This qualified the table for Red Hawk's Bad Beat jackpot for $25,034. Romeo's "losing" hand earned him the top payout of $12,516; Brian received $6,258, while the four remaining players at the table each walked away with $1,565. A Bad Beat Jackpot is paid when a normally "unbeatable" hand is played, but does lose to an even stronger hand.
A $95,608 Bad Beat jackpot was just paid out on May 19 to a group of nine avid poker players. Jerome M. from Diamond Springs, Calif. received $47,804; Bob S. from El Dorado Hills, Calif. received $23,902 while the remaining seven players at the table each walked away with $3,415.
The 60-seat poker room is located on the non-smoking level at Red Hawk Casino. It features Texas Hold 'em limit and no-limit style games with stakes that accommodate all levels of play. The poker room includes several flat screen TVs and tableside dining.
Red Hawk Casino hosts Texas Hold 'em tournaments daily at 10 a.m. and Monday through Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
