Unity Technologies Expands Global Operations With Establishment of Stockholm Office


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 30, 2011) - Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity development platform for awesome games and interactive 3D on the web, iOS, Android, consoles and beyond, today announced that it has opened a new office in the city of Stockholm, Sweden. The new office will be led by respected industry veterans Erik Hemming and Erland Körner. The Stockholm office will serve as a development hub for Unity in the expansion of pushing the quality of Unity authored games to AAA quality.

Erik Hemming serves as a senior software engineer at Unity Technologies, where he has been leading the development efforts for Android powered mobile devices for the last year. With more than a decade of experience as a game developer focusing on platform specific low level programming on modern game console architectures and embedded devices, Erik has previously worked with EA Games/DICE and Avalanche Studios launching high-profile console AAA IP's including Battlefield Bad Company, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat and Just Cause 2.

Erland Körner is a technical artist at Unity Technologies and with two decades of games development experience including EA Games/DICE, where he worked on Battlefield 3, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Mirrors Edge.
