AMANDA CAPITAL ESTABLISHES AMANDA V EAST L.P. AT € 33 M

Amanda Capital has held a first close of its new private equity fund-of-fund, Amanda V East, at € 33 m. The fund will target buyout funds operating in the small and midcap segment of the markets in Russia, CIS, CEE and SEE. This is the second generation fund raised by Amanda Capital targeting Eastern Europe and like its predecessor it will make both primary and secondary commitments. The fundraising continues and final closing is going to take place no later than 30 June 2012.

The fund has already made its first investment by committing to a 2008 vintage Ukrainian fund, managed by local firm Horizon Capital.
