Sales in June

Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for June totalled 4,058 thousand euros and decreased by 4% compared to June previous year in a situation where the sales area shrunk by 8%.

In the month of June, retail revenue increased by 6% in Baltic region (in Estonia 14%, in Latvia 11% and in Lithuania sales decreased by 9%). Retail sales revenue in the Eastern Europe region decreased by 18% (including 12% decrease in Russia and 28% in Ukraine).

In the month of June, comparable stores sales (LFL) per square metre increased by 4%. Biggest growth was achieved in Estonia (+13%), in Latvia (+11%) and in Lithuania (+5%). In Russia comparable stores sales (LFL) per square metre decreased by 1% and in Ukraine by 12%. In local currencies, comparable store sales per square metre in Russia remained at the same level compared to June last year and increased by 2% in Ukraine.  

Retail sales efficiency (sales/m²) increased in June by 5%.

Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue for June totalled 4,202 thousand euros and decreased by 5% compared to June previous year.

At the end of June Baltika Group had 116 stores with a total sales area of 23,582 square metres, 12 stores less than in June 2010.

In the second quarter consolidated sales revenue totalled 12,657 thousand euros (+1% yoy), including retail revenues of 12,099 thousand euros (+1% yoy) and wholesale revenues of 430 thousand euros (-7% yoy).

In the second quarter, retail sales efficiency increased by 11% compared to the same period last year.

Consolidated sales revenue for the first six months totalled 24,427 thousand euros (+3% yoy), including retail revenues of 22,853 thousand euros (+4% yoy) and wholesale revenues of 1,275 thousand euros (-14% yoy).

Six months retail sales efficiency increased by 14%, compared to the same period last year.
