Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for August totalled 4,009 thousand euros and decreased by 1% compared to August previous year in a situation where the sales area shrunk by 8%.
In the month of August, retail revenue increased by 7% in Baltic region (in Estonia 7%, in Latvia 12% and in Lithuania 3%). Retail sales revenue in the Eastern Europe region decreased by 10% (including 12% decrease in Russia and 5% decrease in Ukraine).
In the month of August, comparable stores sales (LFL) per square metre increased by 5%. Biggest growth was achieved in Lithuania (+12%), in Latvia (+10%) and in Estonia (+8%). Comparable stores sales (LFL) per square metre decreased in Russia (-4%) and in Ukraine (-2%). In local currencies, comparable store sales per square metre increased in Russia by 2% and in Ukraine by 10% compared to August last year.
Retail sales efficiency (sales/m²) increased in August by 7%.
Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue for August totalled 4,439 thousand euros and remained at the same level compared to August previous year.

At the end of August Baltika Group had 112 stores with a total sales area of 22,668 square metres, 11 stores less than in August 2010.
Consolidated sales revenue for the first eight months totalled 33,262 thousand euros (+2% yoy), including retail revenues of 31,031 thousand euros (+3% yoy) and wholesale revenues of 1,845 thousand euros (-11% yoy).
Eight months retail sales efficiency increased by 12%, compared to the same period last year.
