Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 5, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 3,367,723 Ahold common shares in the period from August 29, 2011 up to and including September 2, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 8.0231 per share for a total consideration of € 27.02 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 41,697,951 common shares for a total consideration of € 377.43 million.
