Stars, Stripes, & Hearts Launches "Virtual Wall of Honor" for American Military Veterans

WASHINGTON, Nov. 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- While the nation pauses this Veterans Day to remember its fallen soldiers, at least one group remains on active duty in support of America's military service members.

Stars, Stripes, & Hearts, Inc., is a national nonprofit program dedicated to providing resources and support to Latino/Hispanic servicemen and women affected by the invisible wounds of war (PTSD and TBI) and to help facilitate their transition back into a healthy and productive life.

This Veterans Day, supporters of our nation's heroes are encouraged to join Stars, Stripes, & Hearts, Inc., in paying tribute to our troops by visiting www.starsstripesandhearts.org, where you can Tweet a picture of a loved one to be added to the Virtual Wall of Honor.

The Virtual Wall of Honor was generated to give friends, family and neighbors a place to express their pride and gratitude for loved ones who are serving or have served in the US Armed Forces.

"Veterans Day is the day we honor all military men and women who bravely serve our country. But for many of us, service members are more than Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen or Reservists. They are mom and dad. They are husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, neighbors and loved ones. They are the most precious people in the world to us and we take great pride in what they do," says Lynette Spano, founder of Stars, Stripes, & Hearts, Inc. "The Virtual Wall of Honor was created to provide everyone with the opportunity to personally recognize and honor someone special who has answered the call of duty to protect this great nation and its ideals."

Spano is well-known in the Latin-American music industry but by the name "Stebani Cruz" who was recently dubbed "the new face of the Latin Pop/Reggaeton genre" by More magazine.

Her first album 'Me Gusta Asi' debuted on October 11 and is now available via iTunes, TuneCore, Cruz's official Web site, www.laboricuba.com, and other online digital distributors.

Spano/Cruz also recently released her first music video entitled, Como Fue Que Paso, which is dedicated to military servicemen and women and their families.

A major concert with top Latin recording artists is planned for next year to raise funds and awareness for Latino/Hispanic soldiers suffering from PTSD and TBI resulting from their military experience.
