FutureFuel Purchases Emerson Electric Facility


BATESVILLE, Ark., Dec. 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FutureFuel Chemical Company., a wholly-owned subsidiary of FutureFuel Corp. (NYSE:FF) and a manufacturer of custom and performance chemicals and biofuels, today announced that it has finalized an agreement with Emerson to purchase the vacant White-Rodgers facility in Batesville, Arkansas. Sam Dortch, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Batesville FutureFuel Chemical Company facility, reported that there are no current plans for expansion of the Batesville facility into the White-Rodgers building. The facility will be used for warehouse storage and fleet parking. "The central location of the facility and the access from Harrison Street make it an ideal location for a temporary warehouse," says Dortch. The company has no plans to expand the workforce due to the purchase.
