Mark Jackson Denies SEC FCPA Allegations; Will Clear His Name in Court

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Feb 24, 2012) - David Krakoff, partner with BuckleySandler LLP, on behalf of his client Mark A. Jackson, former Chief Executive Officer of Noble Corp., responded to the Complaint filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today in Houston. SEC v. Mark Jackson and James Ruehlen, 4:12-cv-00563 (S.D. Tex. Feb. 24, 2012).

In its complaint, the SEC alleged that two current or former Noble executives violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) related to oil services in Nigeria.

Krakoff stated:

"We unequivocally deny the SEC's baseless allegations. Mr. Jackson will vigorously defend himself in court where the evidence will show what the SEC already knows, that at all times Mr. Jackson acted in good faith at Noble. He looks forward to clearing his good name in this proceeding."
