ATLANTA, Feb. 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In ongoing efforts to educate the public about recycling and sustainability practices, Call2Recycle®, North America's only free battery and cell phone collection program, has appointed a new US vice president of account management, a position that will continue to build strong relationships among program participants and maximize battery collections.
Donny Rolader was hired as US vice president of account management charged with strategically expanding the retail and municipal sectors as well as strengthening existing networks within all industries. Rolader brings with him years of sales management experience within the industrial supply, consumer packaged goods and food service industries, and a proven track record of providing wisdom through measurable results.
"The mission of Call2Recycle is to inform and promote awareness about the benefits of battery recycling," said Carl Smith, CEO of Call2Recycle. "The addition of Donny to the team will focus attention on collection locations, such as retailers and municipalities, who have the greatest opportunity to reach the consumer and encourage battery recycling."
Rolader will be responsible for the management of ongoing account relationships and the execution of growth strategies. By forming a synchronized vision focusing on the end goal of educating the public and recycling more batteries, consumers will have the ability to drop-off their used rechargeable batteries at more collection sites throughout their communities.
