ADEA Celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the Journal of Dental Education


ORLANDO, Fla., March 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) held a special reception during the 2012 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Journal of Dental Education (JDE). The editorial staff for the Journal as well as authors and reviewers convened to reflect on this milestone.

The anniversary of the Journal was also celebrated during a two-part symposium focused on dental education then and now and changes in dental education and their implications. Speakers at the symposia included Richard W. Valachovic, ADEA; Dominick P. DePaola, Nova Southeastern University; Harold C. Slavkin, University of Southern California; L. Jackson Brown, JDE; Judith E.N. Albino, The University of Colorado; Marita R. Inglehart, JDE; Lisa A. Tedesco, Emory University; Howard L. Bailit, University of Connecticut; Allan J. Formicola, Columbia University; and William D. Hendricson, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
