The ShareThis standard measures social engagement for the independent Web by deriving a raw social traffic score from a site's outbound share and inbound clickback traffic compared to page views. By ranking publishers across 27 key content categories based on the power of their social audiences, ShareThis' SQI allows publishers and advertisers to benchmark content against the broader measure of social quality spanning the more than 1 million sites and more than 15 billion social signals that comprise the ShareThis network. The rankings reveal the benefits of rich content and audience engagement over sheer scale, identify users with higher purchase intent and pinpoint users who are more inclined to disseminate content widely.
