Dr. Joel Saltz Joins Appistry's Technology & Scientific Advisory Board

Computer Scientist Brings Extensive Experience in Bioinformatics to New Advisory Role


ST. LOUIS, April 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Appistry, Inc., the world's best company at solving complex, data intensive problems, today announced the addition of Joel Saltz, MD, PhD to the company's Scientific and Technology Advisory Board. Dr. Saltz, a computer and medical scientist with extensive experience in bioinformatics, specializes in the research, instruction and development of sophisticated computational science and data analysis technologies. He currently serves as the Director of the Center for Comprehensive Informatics and Professor and Chair of Biomedical Informatics at Emory University.

Dr. Saltz joins the rest of Appistry's Scientific & Technology Advisory in support of the company's development and commercialization of next generation technologies for advanced data management. His expertise and devotion to bioinformatics research will be leveraged throughout the lifecycle of Appistry's development of high performance analytics solutions for genomics research.

He previously held numerous faculty positions at such prestigious institutions as Yale University, the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University and The Ohio State University.
