GetWellNetwork Presents Awards at Annual GetConnected Conference

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - May 2, 2012) - GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in interactive patient care (IPC) solutions, today announced the recipients of its fourth annual IPC awards. Presented last night in conjunction with GetConnected2012, the company's fifth annual user's conference designed for C-level administrators, clinicians and IT staff, the awards recognized excellence in delivery of interactive patient care.

Interactive patient care with its ability to engage, educate and empower patients and families throughout the patient journey, is being recognized as a key force to drive the strategic and actionable change needed in the face of today's healthcare challenges and changing regulations.

The IPC Awards acknowledge healthcare organizations that have demonstrated a measurable impact on patient outcomes and hospital performance through the use of IPC technology and a commitment to patient and family engagement throughout the care process. GetWellNetwork presented a total of ten awards to leading hospitals across the country including one individual award for the leader whose vision and commitment to patient-centered care has profoundly impacted patient outcomes.

"It was an honor to recognize these organizations, as well as many others who are achieving incredible results because of their focus on patient engagement as a core strategy," said David Wright, chief outcomes officer, GetWellNetwork, Inc. "From improved workflow, to increased patient satisfaction and financial performance, healthcare facilities and their leaders are setting a new bar for outcomes in healthcare each and every day."
